Don't miss our non-stop line up of celebrated professionals; from breakthrough talents, to trend-setting innovators, to seasoned celebrities. The Food Network Stage is sure to provide something for everyone! Our eager audience is invited to interact with our recognized chefs and learn the secrets of their culinary delights. Aspiring sous-chefs from the Niagara College Culinary Institute aid in the preparation and presentation of each demonstration.

David Adjey has been in the restaurant business all his life. He rose from scrappy teen years as a dishwasher in a Scarborough Ontario diner, to become Executive Chef at New York City’s Tony Rihga Royal Hotel. He’s been Personal Chef to actor Dan Aykroyd, appeared on the Jay Leno Show, and realized a dream as Chef Proprietor of his own Toronto fine dining establishment, “Nectar”.

In 2008, Chef Adjey embarked on a new path to become a highly sought-after restaurant consultant, a career trajectory that has taken him across North America and beyond to help aspiring restaurateurs create new and profitable businesses founded on their dreams and passion for food.

Along the way, Chef Adjey established a strong television presence as a chef-expert on Food Network Canada’s Restaurant Makeover. Now, Chef Adjey brings his unique know how, tough love and unorthodox methods to his new Food Network Canada series, The Opener,helping turn dreamers into successful restaurateurs. Will he succeed or be thrown out before the restaurant doors even open?
